The BSPG series is a lightweight and compact linear motion rolling guide made of stainless steel formed precisely to be U-shaped table or track rail. Offering high performance and durability, this series is suitable for scanning or writing heads of memory storage devices such as hard disk drives. The series is also widely applicable for measuring equipment, IC manufacturing and inspection devices etc. For the M2.6 holes, slightly smaller threads (M2.5) will fit.
The retainer in this type combines the two rows of balls with a pinion gear. The pinion gear engages with a rack gear to prevent slipping of movement of the retainer to ensure excellent positioning stability. The BSPG series has the same extremely smooth movement as the BSP.
Does not incorporate a mechanical stopper, so it is necessary to add a stopper mechanism to the surrounding equipment when excessive strokes are likely to occur. The raceways and gear mechanism of the BSPG is smeared with Perfluoro Polyethers grease containing a volatile corrosion inhibiting film. In general use, the BPSG type can be used without any additional treatment if it is kept clean.
For temperatures over 100°C we can supply special high temperature grease, 200°C - supplied in syringe (Part No. CG2-SY).
Notes:
To maximise the accuracy, centre the applied load over the table or bed, and to obtain consistently high accuracy in operation, do not exceed 20% of the basic static load rating.
Allow enough additional stroke length to avoid reaching the maximum stroke length.
The BSPG series is recommended when it is difficult to calibrate the position of the retainer in the BSP series.
